Chapter 2 Test 11/29/12 Study Guide

Here is the information I gave the children today for their test on Thursday.  They should be studying their summary sheets, vocabulary and should know the answers to the following short answer questions.

1. Explain how gravity helped form the solar system.
2. Compare Earth to the other inner planets.
3. Contrast Earth with the outer planets.

Chapter 2 Test 11/29/12

The Chapter 2 test will be given on Thursday, 11/29/12.  The children would be wise to read over the chapter a few times over break and practice vocabulary.  Review sheets will start coming home Monday, 11/26 as we spend time reviewing in class.  Please email me at mlbuster@torahacademy.org with any questions or concerns and have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Chapter 2 Test Postponed

I had considered giving the class the Chapter 2 test before Thanksgiving, but after checking our schedule, I decided that was a little too ambitious.  Therefore, we will have this assessment after Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 29.  If your child is so inclined, rereading the chapter a few times over the Thanksgiving holiday would be time well-spent!  Please email me with any questions or concerns at mlbuster@torahacademy.org

11/2/12 Update

After our Geography unit, which included mapping the school with both 2D and 3D models (salt dough anyone?) our studies have moved to the Solar System.  We will discuss many different aspects, including the current adventures of the Mars space probe, Curiosity, via the NASA website.  It's really good stuff!

I will have a limited number of conference times available for my Science students on Parent/Teacher conference day November 15.  Please phone the school office to schedule a time.  If you are unable to get a time that works for you, please email me at mlbuster@torahacademy.org to set up a conference.

The children are doing a great job - I'm proud of how hard this group can work.  Keep it up!
